Banning texting while driving is a good idea, but will it stop people from using their phones to text?the answer is no, just like drinking and driving is illegal, but there are stubborn citizens who still drink and drive. Most citizens like me don’t know that, starting from January it is illegal to text and drive.  If the new governor is going to sign a bill to stop drivers from texting while driving then, there should be advertisement everywhere to let people know that texting while driving is illegal starting from January. If the legislature is going to ban texting while driving then they should also ban talking on the phone while driving since it can be a distraction too. If the legislature thinks it will stop people from dying each year , then they should also be ready for the stubborn citizens who will protest just for them to use their phones and even if the law is passed next year it will be hard for police to catch people using their phones to text while driving. The legislature should focus more on people who are intoxicated while driving than texting while driving.

Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy by removing out a fetus before it begins to develop. abortion can be done in two ways by taking a pill or going to a clinic to remove the fetus. It is the "most common procedure done in the United States. In order to perform a abortion, an  individual has to be eighteen  or get parent  permission if they are under eighteen. Abortion can also lead to a mother's death if the proper procedure is not taken when  removing  the fetus or embryo. When removing of the fetus at a clinic, the unborn child  doesn't have a saying whether he  or she wants to be alive or not ; the mother makes all the decisions and what type of ways she wants the abortion to be done. The first amendment rights stated that, everyone has the freedom of speech to express themselves any kind of way so why can't an unborn child have the same right as the mother. Everyone should have a saying if  they want to be alive or dead. It shouldn't be based on the mother's decision. for instants, if our mother's had an abortion on us while they were a few weeks pregnant none of  us will be alive right now or doing what we are doing right now. Banning abortion for woman is the right thing to do although some women may argue that, it there body and they can do whatever they like to it. No one has the right to take other person's life whether it a doctor or mother only God can.

I'm commenting on ID-Mania and i agree with this student in not providing an IDs or identification cards to vote,  purchase alcohol, and  cigarette as long as the person can prove that they are legal to vote and are citizens of the United States. Going to the DPS just to have a identification card  takes a long process and it requires you  to pay for it. In my country as long as the person looks older to vote, they are  not required to provide a identification card to vote or purchase alcohol and if  he or she is asked it can be a form of disrespect. Everyone is required to  register to vote before even voting for the candidate they like , so the government should be able to know who the person claim to be since you have to use your social security to register. There should be other ways  to vote like  using your social security number, or the government can provide other ways  for people who don't have IDs to vote. Every citizens' should be able to vote with or without identification cards.

Guns are dangerous weapons that shouldn’t be allowed on college campuses. If all citizens are allowed to use concealed weapons on campus, it would cause a lot of students shooting each other every day. Giving guns to citizens would be like giving a dog a cat to play with although you know that they don't like each other. In today’s society, most citizens who carry guns are not in good health condition, and most citizens are not trained to shot guns.

Most adults don’t know their health conditions, if they are mentally stable to carry a gun on school premises or not. If the legislature passes the law for citizens to carry weapons on college campuses it will enable people who are mentally ill to carry guns at school. This will put other students life’s in danger. Adults who are mentally sick sometimes don’t know what they are doing and may even shot a student in class without knowing that they have shot a human being. Adults who are mentally ill are dangerous to students, teachers and other citizens. Having concealed guns on college campuses would make campus police job difficult for them to do their job and prevent students from hurting or fighting each other. For instance, if one or two students are fighting each other in a parking lot and one pulls a concealed gun to shot the other it will be difficult for the police to stop them, because he/she will be scared of getting shot at. Passing the law for citizens to carry weapons in school will only increase and not decrease the death rate in Texas.

Majority of Americans are saying they are in favor of restricting entry to the United States to people from countries who are hardest hit by the Ebola virus. Ninety- one percent of adults said they want "stricter screening of people entering the United States who have been in African countries affected by the outbreak". 33 percent also think " the United States is doing all it reasonably can do to try to prevent further cases of Ebola here, while 64 percent say it should do". Concern about Ebola is highest among lower income Americans and the higher income Americans. The author intended audience is people who are worried about the Ebola virus and how they can stop it from spreading. I agree with the author about restricting entry to people who have been to affected countries, but if we are going to restrict people from entry to the United States then we need to find a solution on how to help them with the disease. Most of the countries who are hit by the virus don't have the medical needs to help their people fight the virus or even prevent it from spreading from one person to the other. If we are going to restrict people from Africa to the United States then we need to help them find a cure to the Ebola virus.

"Public education is a major talking point for Texas' gubernatorial and lieutenant gubernatorial candidates during their races". Politicians generally focus on funding, rather than focusing on improving education. Legislators should focus on finding methods to improve education without spending huge amount of money. The author's intended audience are parents, teachers, and politicians. The author gave some suggestions on how parents need to get more involved in their children's education and teachers need to have a larger role in determining how the state allocates its budgets for schools. Improving education is important and i agree with the author, because if politician don't stop focusing on money and winning their race, our education in Texas will go downhill and it will cause thousands of children to be illiterate and walking in the street of Texas. If we want our children to be great in the future and become lawyers, doctors, teachers etc.. then politicians need to stop caring for themselves and their race  and start  caring  about improving Texas education.

On September 20,2014 texastribune.org, Senator Wendy Davis announced that she terminated two pregnancies for medical reasons and another legislator Dawnna Dukes reveal that she too has had an abortion in the past. Republican Molly White said, " women who have not had abortions don't have the same understanding about the effects of the procedure". Dawnna Dukes also criticized abortion regulations passed by the Republican legislature, saying the regulations about women's safety is false. Abortion law bans abortion after 20 weeks and it is also required by a doctor to perform it and the hospital has to be 30 miles away; the hospital has to also meet the standards to perform an abortion. I choose to read about this article because, it shows you  that not only the poor terminate pregnancies, but also people in power also have had an abortion for personal reasons although the topic is hard to talk about sometimes.
